Protecting a 2026 Lexus IS 350 F's Satin Paint With XPEL Stealth PPF
See how Blue Ocean Auto Spa of Cedar Park protected a 2026 Lexus IS 350 F's satin paint with XPEL Stealth PPF, Fusion Plus Satin and XR Plus windshield tint.

Factory satin paint gives a vehicle a completely different presence, but it can also change the way an owner thinks about protecting a brand-new car.
That was especially important for the client who brought this 2026 Lexus IS 350 F Sport to Blue Ocean Auto Spa. The client lives in Lago Vista and regularly drives FM 1431, where ongoing construction made rock-chip protection a major concern. In fact, the owner was so cautious about damaging the Lexus's satin finish that they didn't want to drive the car until the front had paint protection film installed.
After extensively researching PPF installers, the client chose Blue Ocean Auto Spa in Cedar Park for a protection plan built around the vehicle, its distinctive finish, and the roads it would regularly travel.
Protecting Factory Satin Paint With XPEL Stealth PPF
Paint protection film was at the top of the client's list from the beginning.
For this Lexus, we installed XPEL Stealth paint protection film on the full front. The goal was to protect the high-impact areas at the front of the vehicle while maintaining the character of its factory satin finish.
That distinction is especially important on a vehicle like this. Protecting satin paint isn't just about putting film over the surface. The finished appearance matters, too.
XPEL Stealth allowed us to add a sacrificial protective layer to the front of the Lexus while preserving the satin appearance the client wanted to maintain.
For an owner regularly traveling FM 1431 during construction, that addressed the concern that brought the vehicle to us in the first place: being able to enjoy a new Lexus without constantly worrying about the front end taking its first rock chips.

Why the Client Chose Blue Ocean Auto Spa
There was another part of this project that stood out to us.
The client had done extensive research before selecting a PPF installer and told us that our approach during the consultation played an important role in choosing Blue Ocean Auto Spa.
Rather than feeling pushed toward a package or being sold through freebies, the client appreciated that the conversation focused on understanding the vehicle and helping determine the right solution.
Both PPF and ceramic coating were already on the client's list. From there, we could approach the Lexus as one complete vehicle-protection project rather than treating every service as an unrelated add-on.
The final project included:
- XPEL Stealth PPF on the full front
- XPEL Fusion Plus Satin ceramic coating
- XPEL XR Plus 70% on the windshield
Each service addressed a different part of the client's goals for the Lexus.
Ceramic Coating for the Lexus's Satin Finish
With the high-impact areas of the front protected by PPF, the Lexus also received XPEL Fusion Plus Satin ceramic coating.
The factory satin paint was one of the characteristics the client particularly wanted to preserve and be careful with, making a product intended for satin finishes a natural part of the overall protection strategy.
Instead of treating ceramic coating as a separate project, it became another part of preparing this Lexus for ownership from the beginning.
Adding XPEL XR Plus 70% Windshield Tint at Drop-Off
Windshield tint wasn't originally the primary reason for the appointment.
During drop-off, we discussed ceramic windshield tint with the client and demonstrated its effectiveness using our custom heat-lamp display.
Being able to experience the demonstration firsthand gave the client an opportunity to evaluate the benefit rather than simply hearing a sales pitch about it. After the demonstration, the client decided to add XPEL XR Plus 70% to the windshield.
The 70% film provides a relatively light appearance while giving the client the benefit they experienced during the heat-lamp demonstration.
This was a good example of how we want a consultation to work. The windshield wasn't added because we wanted to turn one service into three. The client saw a demonstration, understood the option, and decided it made sense for the Lexus.
One Lexus, One Complete Protection Strategy
It would be easy to describe this as three separate jobs: PPF, ceramic coating, and window tint.
We see it as one vehicle-protection project.
The client had a new Lexus with a distinctive satin finish they wanted to preserve, a regular drive along FM 1431 that made rock-chip exposure a serious concern, and a desire to take especially good care of the vehicle from the beginning.
XPEL Stealth PPF addressed the vulnerable front end.
XPEL Fusion Plus Satin complemented the protection strategy for the vehicle's satin finish.
XPEL XR Plus 70% was added to the windshield after the client experienced our in-shop heat-lamp demonstration and decided it was worthwhile for the vehicle.
Together, those decisions created a protection plan based on this particular Lexus and how its owner plans to use it.
If you're considering paint protection for a new vehicle in Cedar Park—or regularly drive roads where construction and road debris make rock chips a concern—Blue Ocean Auto Spa can help you compare PPF, ceramic coating, and window tint options and build a protection plan around your vehicle.
