A black and white drawing of three lines on a white background.

At Blue Ocean Auto Spa of Cedar Park, we take pride in elevating every vehicle that comes through our doors—and this recent full-body Paint Protection Film (PPF) install on a 2026 Porsche 911 (992.2) Carrera GTS T-Hybrid was no exception. This stunning performance machine arrived finished in Ice Grey Metallic, a bold and elegant color that perfectly complements the satin matte finish of XPEL Stealth PPF.

This transformation wasn’t just about protection—it was about precision, aesthetics, and craftsmanship. From disassembly to final touches, we made sure every panel and edge was treated with the highest level of care and attention to detail.

Why XPEL Stealth PPF?

XPEL Stealth Paint Protection Film is one of the most advanced matte PPF products on the market. Designed specifically to preserve and transform factory paint finishes, XPEL Stealth offers:

  • A sleek satin/matte appearance that subtly changes a glossy paint like Ice Grey Metallic into a more aggressive, modern finish
  • Self-healing technology that eliminates light scratches and swirl marks with heat
  • Industry-leading chemical resistance and protection from road debris, bug acids, and bird droppings
  • 10-year warranty backed by XPEL for long-term peace of mind

The Process: More Than Just PPF Installation

Installing full-body PPF—especially on a high-performance car like the 2026 911 Carrera GTS—requires precision and planning. Here’s a look at what made this install stand out:

1. Strategic Disassembly for Hidden Edges

To achieve that OEM-level, “no-film” look, our team carefully removed and disassembled several components of the Porsche:

  • Door moldings
  • Side mirrors
  • Tail lights
  • Active aero rear wing

This allowed us to tuck the film seamlessly behind body panels, eliminating visible edges and preventing future lifting or dirt build-up.

2. Application of XPEL Stealth PPF

Every surface was meticulously prepped, cleaned, and decontaminated before installation. Applying PPF to a complex body like the 911's—especially with its aggressive curves and aero features—requires extensive experience. Our trained installers ensured a flawless, bubble-free application that follows the natural body lines without distortion.

3. Carbon Fiber PPF on the Aero Wing

To enhance the sporty aesthetic, we applied carbon-look PPF to the active rear wing. This not only added a custom touch but also tied in beautifully with the 911’s high-performance DNA.

4. Tinted Signal Lights for Extra Flair

For added stealth and style, we applied a subtle tint to the signal and marker lights, giving the vehicle a more aggressive, cohesive look without compromising functionality.

The 2026 Land Rover Defender S stands with a kind of quiet authority that does not rely on excess. Its squared proportions and upright stance feel intentional, almost architectural. Finished in a deep green tone, the paint carries a subdued richness, shifting gently under bright overhead lighting. Reflections stretch cleanly across the hood and along the sides, emphasizing the Defender’s structured design rather than softening it. Inside a controlled workspace, the vehicle takes on a different presence. Every surface becomes more defined, every detail easier to evaluate. For this particular project, the focus was not on changing the Defender’s appearance, but on refining the experience within it.

There is a quiet kind of luxury that lives inside a well-kept Lexus. It is not loud or attention-seeking. It shows itself in the way surfaces feel under your hands, in the calm of a clean cabin, and in the subtle contrast between materials that were designed to age gracefully. This 2019 Lexus RX 450h arrived with that foundation intact, but like any daily-driven vehicle, it carried the light wear and accumulation that comes with regular use. The Wear and Tear Was Obvious Attention naturally fell to the high-contact areas. The steering wheel showed the kind of subtle dulling that happens over time, where oils from hands begin to soften the original texture. Along the center console, the gloss surfaces and control interfaces had picked up a light film, muting their reflective quality. Cupholders and seams carried the fine debris that settles into the details of everyday life. The rear seating area told a similar story, though more quietly. The light upholstery had remained in good condition overall, but slight discoloration in the seating surfaces and along stitching lines revealed where passengers had come and gone. Floor mats and lower panels carried the marks of regular use, especially in areas where dirt tends to settle unnoticed. The Professional Detail Begins Rather than approaching the interior with aggressive methods, the process centered around precision and control. Steam cleaning became the defining tool for this transformation. It allowed for a level of deep cleaning that reaches beneath the surface without compromising the integrity of delicate materials. As the steam moved across the leather seating, it lifted embedded contaminants from the pores, restoring a more natural, even tone. Areas that once appeared slightly shadowed or uneven began to brighten, not artificially, but in a way that reflected their original finish. The difference was especially noticeable on the driver’s seat, where contact is most frequent. In tighter areas such as stitching, seams, and around controls, steam proved its value again. Residue that would typically resist traditional cleaning methods was loosened and removed with minimal agitation. The result was a level of detail that felt complete, even in places most would never consciously notice.
